The New Moon in Taurus hits on May 4, 2019., 3:48 pm (EST) to be exact.

Taurus rules all five (six?) senses. It’s Taurus that loves to put money away for a rainy day - or spend it all on some wonderful fuzzy socks. Taurus rules rock solid commitment. All those other Taurean key words are true too: stubborn, nature loving, sensual.

And of course, the biggest Taurus themed word of them all: VALUE.

Taurus asks you to think about what you value and the relationship between value and self or value and nature. Are you living in the present? (I’m talking to you, air signs.) Do you inhabit your whole body? Are you grounded? Are you being authentic? Are you taking care of yourself? Taurus style self care could be fuzzy socks and Netflix - or making sure that you have money enough for good food and massages.

Taurus is the comfortable, cuddle sign who begs us to look at our principles.

One of my best friends is a Taurus: she’s a cozy vegan who loves the natural world and feeds all of her friends. She also has strong, strong principles and intense feelings about being real. She’s stable and honest. Fittingly, her favorite color is green, the color of nature.

The New Moon in Taurus

As always, a New Moon is an opening, a universal doorway urging us to go through it and explore the new adventures that are on the other side. New Moons represent fresh starts, new beginnings, and the urge to explore in a new direction. The New Moon asks us to plant the seeds that hold the most growth and shows us in what area the flashlight will shine.

We currently have Pluto in Capricorn, Jupiter in Sagittarius, and Saturn in Capricorn all in Retrograde until October 3, August 11, and September 18, respectively. Pluto and Saturn are both in Capricorn and in Retrograde, so Pluto’s intense transformation and Saturn’s big life lessons may feel like they are not moving as fast as anyone would like, but once they are out of retro, they’ll go full speed ahead and the needed transformation and lessons can straighten up and fly right, so to speak.

This New Moon in Taurus is trine to Pluto and Saturn - make the plans that will bring long term satisfaction and start manifesting NOW.

Just know that we might not see that going to full fruition until Pluto and Saturn go direct.
